Ranked the #1 City in the World by Travel & Leisure readers in 2024, I am proud to call San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, my hometown in between my global travels.

 

Though it is my hometown, I still explore it daily like a curious traveler.  There are so many rich layers of history, culture, art, architecture, nature, and food that my list of things to do seems endless.

Street art in San Miguel de Allende

I am in love with the street art in the Guadalupe neighborhood of San Miguel de Allende. Mexico.  This stunning work, as well as many others throughout the neighborhood, are possible through the Muros de Blancos project started in 2013.  All the art is such a visual testament to the profound impact of collaboration between passionate citizens, local government, and the thriving artist community.  As I wander these vibrant streets, I can't help but feel inspired and grateful for the artistic spirit that breathes life into every corner of this charming city.
